Thassos - Homage

As a teenager I've always spend my holidays on this Island. Later I traveled all Greece and it's Islands, but Thassos has been the magical Island for me. It's genuine greek. Whereas other greek islands have become a mass tourist destination this island has preserved its special greek atmosphere. Maybe this was because it has never been considred as fancy as the other spots. What a luck for those who like the real thing. I think, I'll keep traveling to this island until I can't travel anymore. Too many memories of days past. I made this video in summer 1997 or 1998 ( I can't really remember anymore), but it was only in 2002 when I started editing videos at home. This is a homage to this beautiful island,with it's bright greek light, beautiful beaches and cristal clear waters. It's a memory of Greece. I've been living in Germany for many years now and that's why text is in german. Enjoy and send some comments if you like.

Bless my parents for bringing me to Thassos every summer from when i was two to when i was fourteen. We used to camp in the olive tree hills near wigli restaurant. But i don't think this is possible today. I loved being woken up by goat flocks walking around the tent. Planning to go there this summer, yippie!
