I think the point he`s stressing out in the song he references getting stoned but I don`t believe the song is about smoking reefer lots of people think because its a drug reference it means the song is about getting high I think Cracker was singing about hitting a all time low thus the song Low was born!

First, I love this song. I remember getting it on the Do Something alternative music compilation (that Taco Bell sold for a dollar with any purchase for a while) when I was 12.
Second, the video is pretty good. I really like the use of the barren Western landscapes, which fit so well with that howling guitar in the background. Vegas is also a good choice, because the song is about really fucking up your life for a thrill. The landscapes in the video make me think of Natural Born Killers.

The video is a little repetitive, though. You could splice in some more clips to make it more interesting - if you ever come back to it, that is.
Also, I'm curious - the words "Unit 731" at the bottom of that one clip - is that a reference to the infamous Japanese military project in which horrible experiments were conducted on Chinese prisoners? Or is that just a coincidence?
