The guy you see running is chasing his heavy backpack that was sent into the sea by the jetblast. (Video taken Fri, 28.7.06)

What's this pish about airport security? They are on the road outside the airport, and there is a load of babrbed wire between them and the aircraft. It is awesome there tho. VERY short runway, with a good beach at the far end. Wouldn't want to drink in the bar there tho in case of an engine failure just after V1.

Lol, ive been there, we watched some smart greek guy get blown off his moped as the plane took off. What's funny si, if the police (one of the 2 police cars in skiathos) caughts him, he'd get done for running a red light, the only thing that stops people passing the end. You also get all the muck blown off that bit of road int the sea, leaving a huge brown streak past the boats, which the smaller ones sometimes do get capsised (normally a rowing boat).

lol i remember being in the same condition 10 years ago at this exact airport!the pilot was waving us to go away and we thought he was waving us goodbye!hahah.anyway me and my schoolmates never thought that the power of the engines would be so great...you have to be there to believe it.the turbulance is so powerful...and if i remember correct it was a medium sized plane not a big one.
